MÍO 1898 is a special project that was born in the Valley of LosPedroches (al ballut) in Córdoba, known by previous civilizations as “the valley of Acorns”, in the bosom of a family of ranchers with a long tradition.
MÍO is a part of the wisdom passed on to us by our ancestors, who already raised pigs the way we do. Today we know that this form of parenting is the most successful, because it is sustainable and special.
MÍO is the care of a race that can disappear if it is not valued. The pure Iberian variety “torbiscal” presents in some of its piglets a white streak on the hoof, a depigmentation, a characteristic that has made no one want them and that, in MÍO, we have valued considering this fact as something unique, something special, a difference with which we want to reward your confidence, giving you the opportunity to enjoy a weekend in the pasture if you are lucky enough to receive a ham or shoulder with the white line on the black hoof, a unique experience for a product unique.
