The Atlantic crab (Necora Puber), is a shellfish that is caught in the FAO27 area, where the catch of crab is higher than in the Rías Baixas, which together with its flavour makes its price lower. It is an ideal seafood for various recipes such as rice or fish or eat them directly cooked or grilled. The nécora del atlántico is a crustacean that has a lot of variety of flavors in their legs, meat, shell and roe, very fine meat although its flavor is less intense than the Galician nécora (but it is the best quality along with the Galician), the Atlantic crab differs from the Ría crab in its colouring, as the latter is darker when it is alive and redder when it is cooked.
It should be noted that if you are ordering cooked atlantic red sea crab, you must remember that this product suffers a loss of approximately 20% weight, so there will be a difference between its weight in live and its weight in cooked
Remember that when you select the option ''Live'' it means that our Atlantic crab always leaves alive from our facilities. Being out of its natural habitat, during transport will be weakened and may arrive at destination fresh, perfect for consumption!
