In 1940 Josep Cudié began working in the Joan Trens y Riba pastry shop, a historic building in Vilafranca del Penedès. A very well known bakery at the time, as they made stone-baked chocolate. It was in 1943 that in the Pastry shop Trens began to elaborate an assortment of Bonbons, which was a trend in Paris. One of these chocolates was Cro-crem.
