Cultivated on our own farm in the heart of the Ebro Delta, one of the most important wetlands in the Mediterranean basin and where rice fields are a fundamental part of the ecosystem

All ourrice comes from certified organic farming Riet Vell has a 52 ha estate (see location), enabled as a orbithological reserve thanks to a land stewardship agreement with SEO/BirdLife. Of this area 42 ha are dedicated to rice fields and the remaining 10 ha to the restoration of an interesting wetland that over the years has become one of the best areas of the delta for the observation of waterfowl.

Occasionally Riet Vell also buys rice from other ecological producers nearby or even in the surroundings of other protected wetlands, such as the marshes of the Guadalquivir, where there is a very similar relationship between the rice field and the conservation of environmental values
