Rocafosca 2020

Rocafosca is a red wine from Priorat D.O.Q. Priorat made by the Costers del Priorat winery with Carignan and Garnacha Tinta.

Rocafosca, the flagship wine of Costers del Priorat, embodies the balance between fruit and minerality, fusing the Carignan and Grenache varieties in perfect harmony. Sourced from the Mas Alsera estate in Torroja and the Sant Martí estate in Bellmunt, this wine reflects the essence of Priorat, from its rugged heartland to the warm south of the region.

With artisanal winemaking that includes the manual selection of grapes and the use of indigenous yeasts, each variety is treated separately to capture its full potential. Ageing in Slavonian oak foudres and amphorae adds complexity and character.

Rocafosca tasting notes

Rocafosca, a deep and energetic wine, reflects the sensory richness of Priorat with its dark red tones and aromatic complexity. On the palate, it combines ripe fruit with notes of Mediterranean scrubland and a distinctive minerality resulting from the slate soils.

Perfect with grilled meats such as lamb, Iberian pork, beef and veal, as well as creamy, fatty dishes such as mushroom cannelloni, tuna stew or classic risotto.
