Legend has it that in the royal house of the Duque de Liria street in Madrid, gathered the good card players who liked to drink good rum. So famous was their taste for this liquor that many of the bets were covered with bottles of the best rums in the world

The fame of the place reached the ears of the son of the best distiller in town, and decided, without consulting his father, go to the gambling house and prove that his rum, was undoubtedly the best rum in the whole town of Madrid. So bad was his fortune, he lost the recipe to the players, who distilled the rum and amazed and surrendered to its taste called it "The Rum of La Villa" and swore not to share his recipe with anyone and keep it secret ever since

Many years have passed and now their descendants have decided to distill a limited edition so that the most demanding palates can corroborate the good name that was given to this rum and the reason for its secrecy.
