Algueira Fincas 2017

Algueira Fincas is a red wine from the Ribeira Sacra Denomination of Origin made with Caiño and Sousón by Algueira.

Algueira Fincas presents the characteristic Atlantic character of Galician red wines, with very Atlantic varieties such as Caiño and Sousón, with clusters trodden on foot, maceration for 15 days and ageing for 12-15 months in chestnut and French oak barrels of 225 and 300 litres.

Its spicy character is reminiscent of the Galician Atlantic forest (oak inflorescences, nettle).

In the mouth it is a very fresh and acidic wine, with a crisp, citric and persistent tannin and a very meaty finish.
