Ausas Interpretacion 2020

Ausàs Interpretation is a single varietal wine made from Tempranillo grapes from the DO Ribera del Duero, produced by Ausàs Bodegas y ViñedosAusàs Bodegas y Viñedos is a winery in Quintanilla de Onésimo, which was the winemaker for Vega Sicilia between 1968 and 1998. Xavier Ausàs has also collaborated with other prestigious wineries. They do not have their own vineyards but work with people they have known for over 30 years, ensuring high-quality grapes and the freedom to express the typicity and potential of the Ribera from their point of view.The vineyards that produce the grapes for Ausàs Interpretation are around 40 years old. The soils are sandy and clay-limestone. The climate in the area is continental. They obtain different characteristics from the various plots, allowing them to create a complex and harmonious wine. They achieve floral character from grapes grown in light soils, fruity character from grapes grown in clay soils, freshness from grapes grown at higher altitudes, and power from grapes grown in limestone soils.The Ausàs Interpretation wine is aged for 16 months in new and used oak barrels of 225 and 500 liters. A total of 20,000 bottles are produced.
