Zinio Wineries, presents to us the Champagne Cattier Brut Icone from the Champagne Designation of Origin (Spain), made from the grape varieties Meunier 50%, Pinot Noir 30%, Chardonnay 20%.

The history of Cattier dates back to 1625, and probably even further, when the family began planting vines in Chigny-les-Roses, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims.

In 1916, Jean Cattier returned to Chigny-les-Roses as a wounded veteran of the First World War. Champagne merchants tried to keep their businesses running in these harsh conditions. Unable to sell their poor harvest in 1916, Jean Cattier decided to turn his grapes into wine and produce his own champagne at the end of the war in 1918. It was at that moment that Cattier champagne was born.

Since then, and now under the direction of Jean-Jacques Cattier, Cattier has prospered thanks to the hard work, courage, and determination of the family. They have always worked hard to create champagnes that stand out from other producers.

Among the three varieties traditionally used, the winery places special emphasis on Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, which provide structure and fruity aromas. The third, Chardonnay, provides finesse and elegance.

Cattier has always maintained a quantity of reserve wine and incorporates at least 30% of older wine in non-vintage champagnes. This is what helps preserve the iconic, elegant, and fruity style.

The Champagne Cattier Brut Icone stands out for its elegance and structure. Aged on lees for over 2 years in the cellar, this champagne reveals intense fruit notes and delicate finesse on the palate. It is recommended to serve it at a temperature of 8-10 °C to fully enjoy its exceptional qualities.
