Morgon is a renowned appellation of Beaujolais, known for its image and reputation. This cuvée called "Cinq Terres" is composed each year of the following five named places: Les CHOLLETS, which bring elegance, Le BRYE, which offers fruit and roundness, Les TERRAINS ROUGES, which bring power, Les AIGUAIS, which bring lightness, and finally CLACHET, which brings subtle minerality. Cultivated on granite and shale soils, this Morgon is a wine characterized by its power, spicy notes, as well as its aromas of cherry and Morello cherry. It has always been the specialty of the Piron family. Clos du Vieux Bourg - MORGON "Cinq Terres" with its flavors of cherries and spices, pairs particularly well with grilled red meats, game meats such as duck or pigeon, as well as goat cheeses.
