This 'Villa España' stands out for its creamy body and its chocolaty taste, with notes of stone fruits and blueberry raisins.
Description
El Salvador is one of the greatest coffee exponents in Central America, with a long tradition in the cultivation of high quality coffee trees thanks to its exceptional climatic conditions and soil composition. This 'Villa España' is a specialty coffee grown at an altitude of 1,400 meters above sea level in the Apaneca - Ilamatepec region, known for its practically zero rainfall and high average temperatures
Villa España began production in 1980 on its sandy-clay soils, resulting in small but high quality harvests, which gradually made their way into the most select coffee markets. This farm, which has 50 hectares of production, has coffee trees of an average age of 20 years, which are cultivated manually and selectively during the first months of the year
The beans are of the Catimor variety, one of the most prized within the Arabica species thanks to its richness of nuances once roasted. After the beans are harvested, they are fermented aerobically and then undergo a semi-washing process in a patio, resulting in medium-large beans with an intense green color.
