Cabbage is grown in temperate climates, its season is from September to January and different varieties are distinguished, among which are:

• Berza or Cabbage verdi-white smooth: it is the most common
• White cabbage or curly cabbage or Crespo or Savoy cabbage.
• Red cabbage or red cabbage or purple cabbage.
• Chinese cabbage or Akusai.

• Cabbage: rich in vitamins C, A, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium and folates.
• Cauliflower: rich in fiber, vitamin C, sugar and phosphorus

Outstanding among its properties is its sulfur content, so it is considered a powerful antioxidant. It is also rich in vitamins A, C, E and B and minerals, especially sulfur and potassium. It is recommended for diabetics, prevents uric acid and cholesterol, promotes child growth, helps eliminate fat and prevents hypertension, provides antibodies, regulates the hormonal functioning of the thyroid and pituitary gland and fights arthritis and rheumatism.
