Don PX Gran Reserva 1999 is a sweet wine from the D.O. Montilla Moriles produced by Bodegas Toro Albalá. These wines are almost indestructible, they are mostly academic.
Aged for at least 25 years in American oak casks, after an exhaustive harvest and sun-ripening of the grapes, this wine, almost immortal, is dense and persistent on the palate.
Tasting Notes of Don Px Gran Reserva 1999
Dark mahogany colour with iodised rim.
Balsamic nose with pronounced notes of carob pods, pickles, black liquorice and prunes.
The palate is persistent roasted, with hints of caramel and honey. Elegant and long on the palate, with a retronasal effect where the prunes appear again as well as its complexity in toasted fruits.
Don PX Gran Reserva 1999 is an excellent Pedro Ximénez from the D.O. Montilla-Moriles, complex and intense, which will be ideal to accompany chocolates with a high percentage of cocoa and even certain blue cheeses that are not excessively intense.
