Its taste is very delicate and complex from the moment it enters the mouth, reminding us of the same olfactory perceptions. It is very light in bitterness and has a slightly more prominent and delicate, late spiciness. It has great harmony, medium structure, an almond aftertaste, and good persistence.

This is the first oil released in this category, which is why we have called it "PRIMERO" (First). The Royal variety is the native variety of the province of Jaén, whose cultivation in the region dates back centuries. Its cultivation has undergone a drastic decline since the late 19th century and is on the brink of extinction. Castillo de Canena has recovered and planted it in the family estate.
