More information

Faiveley Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes is a red wine made from Pinot Noir in Gevrey-Chambertin (France) by Domaine Faiveley.

The selection of plots of old vines over 35 years old produces an exceptionally intense and aromatic wine.

The grapes are harvested and sorted by hand. The proportion of destemmed grapes and whole bunches varies according to the vintage. The wines are poured daily to extract the colour, tannins and aromas from the grape skins. After a vatting period of 19 days, alcoholic fermentation is completed. It is pressed slowly and gently to extract a press wine of exceptional purity.

The wines are aged for 14 months in French oak barrels (20-30% new oak) selected for their fine grain and moderate toasting. The wines are aged in our cellars at a constant, natural temperature and humidity. At the end of the ageing process, the wines are aged in vats for 2 months.
