Chopitos or puntillas (also known in some areas as pulpitos) are a typical culinary preparation of the inland, and southern coasts of Spain.1 On the coast of Malaga the dish is known as "calamaritos".

The cuttlefish are usually prepared by washing and gutting them completely, once drained they are usually floured and then cooked in boiling oil (fried) until golden brown all over. They are usually served hot, just out of the pan or fryer
