Georg Mosbacher Buntsandstein Wachenheim is a white wine made from Riesling in Wachenheim (Germany) by the Mosbacher family.

The specially selected, very ripe golden grapes for this wine come from the individual plot "Gerümpel", located in the middle of the slope in Wachenheim, which is characterised by its variegated sandstone boulder soil. Selective harvesting, controlled fermentation with selected yeasts at about 18°C in stainless steel tanks; maturation on lees until bottling in May 2022, also in stainless steel tanks.

Founded in 1920 by the Mosbacher family, today, after 3 generations, the winery continues to produce its wines from its 20 hectares of vineyards in the surroundings of the emblematic village of Forst.

Its Riesling wines have put this winery in the spotlight due to its reputation and prestige as one of the best wineries in the Palatinate region.

Georg Mosbacher Buntsandstein Wachenheim Tasting Notes

Aromas of vineyard peaches and apricots dominate the fragrance. Exotic hints of mango, honeydew melon and lychee are added. Rich yellow fruit and spicy notes, characteristic of Rieslings from the Mittelhaardt region. The lively acidity is balanced by a light touch of residual sugar, giving the wine an extraordinary juiciness. Present on the palate with a long finish.
