The leaves of Ginkgo biloba contain flavones (quercetol, kenferol, etc.), terpene lactones (ginkgolides), and phytosterols. They have notable venotonic effects, act as neuroprotectants, peripheral vasodilators, platelet anti-aggregants, anti-hemorrhoidal, diuretic, and antioxidants.
