Las Viñas Bastardas is a red wine made from Monastrell and Tempranillo, a Spanish wine produced by Casa Rojo winery.

In Las Viñas Bastardas, the Tempranillo comes from old vineyards ranging in age from 35 to 100 years old, all located in the provinces of Burgos and Valladolid. On the other hand, Monastrell is sourced from old vines near our winery in Murcia, in the picturesque La Raja Valley.

The Tempranillo undergoes both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in used French oak barrels for at least 12 months. The Monastrell, on the other hand, undergoes alcoholic fermentation in large 11,000-liter French oak barrels and then completes malolactic fermentation in new 500-liter French oak barrels. Finally, it is aged for a minimum of 12 months in used oak barrels.
