Lealtanza Reserva is a Tempranillo that defines the style of the winery, a classic Rioja made in an innovative way and aged in French oak barrels. It is silky and meaty, rich and easy to drink.

Bodegas Altanza was founded in 1998 in Fuenmayor, in the Rioja Alta region, with the objective of producing quality wines at a fair price, combining tradition and technology in Reservas and Grandes Reservas.

Elaboration and aging

Lealtanza Reserva is a 100% Tempranillo single varietal. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, with a controlled temperature of 28ºC. Alcoholic fermentation lasts approximately 15 days, plus another 10 days of maceration. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in French oak vats.

Aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels, plus three months in French oak vats and 12 months in the bottle.

Lealtanza Reserva is ideal to accompany stews, roasts, red meats, as well as appetizers and gourmet tapas. It is recommended to decant before consuming and serve at a temperature between 16 and 18ºC.
