Louis XIII Remy Martin Magnum Estuchado is an ultra-luxury cognac in which each decanter represents the achievement of a lifetime for generations of Cellar Masters
Created in 1874, LOUIS XIII cognac is an inimitable blend of up to 1 200 eaux-de-vie of Grande Champagne wine exclusively, the first "cru" of the French Cognac region. Each eau-de-vie is slowly aged in an oak barrel.
Each individually numbered decanter is inspired by the original design of a 16th century metal flask discovered at the site of the Battle of Jarnac in France. For several generations, these carafes have been the fruit of the blowing work of some of the most talented master glassmakers.
Each carafe represents the achievement of a lifetime for generations of Cellar Masters. Since its creation in 1874, each generation of Cellar Masters has brought LOUIS XIII cognac to life by selecting the oldest and most prestigious eaux-de-vie in our cellars.
As the decades pass, the mysterious communion between air, wood and eaux-de-vie culminates in a magical explosion of flavors and aromas, evoking those of myrrh, honey, dried roses, plums, honeysuckle, leather, figs and passion fruit. Louis XIII produces intense aromas that linger for more than an hour on the palate
