Martin Codax Lias Albariño Tasting Note

It is characterized by the excellent health of the vineyard and the intense heat. A warmer than normal winter and spring brought forward the vegetative stage by 15 days, which was extended during the summer, bringing forward the harvest date to the end of August. The vegetative cycle went smoothly, with good flowering and no notable pests. In summer the drought worsened and in August we began to see signs of dehydration in the clusters, but the rains at the beginning of September restored balance to the vineyard. The wines of this vintage are characterised by having a little more volume due to the warmth of the vintage and a good freshness. A vintage to enjoy young or, as is becoming the norm for the great wines of the area, to cellar for a few years
