The Mezcal Koch Ensamble Ancestral Espadin-Arroqueño contains mahogany, sandalwood, licorice apple compote and caramel

Master mezcalero Isidro Damian grows and produces the two types of agave in Sol de Vega, Oaxaca. The Angustifolia (Espadín) and Americana Oax (Arroqueño) are cultivated and wild agaves which use a distillation system called Olla de Barro.

The Carlos Moreno family has been associated with mezcal since the early 20th century. In 2009, Carlos continued the family tradition and partnered with fifth-generation mezcal master, Pedro Hernandez, to create Koch El Mezcal de Oaxaca, with the goal of preserving and promoting mezcal culture. After 10 years of operation, they have so far incorporated more than 15 communities and 50 productive families into their congregation. Each batch is different, so check the bottle for details.

Thanks to the dedication of Doña Cristina Martínez García and her sons Cirilo, Pedro and Daniel Hernández, master distillers of this artisanal mezcal and the incredible biodiversity and culture of the deagave plant found in the Oaxaca Oaxaca Valley. We can find artisanal agave of different types of agave such as Tobalá, Mexican, Maguey de Lumbre, Cirial, Tobasiche, Coyote and the most famous agave Mezcal of Oaxaca as is the Espadín.
