Mullineux Granite Syrah is a red wine made from Syrah by the Mullineux & Leeu Winery under the Swartland appellation in South Africa.

A unique grape variety, Syrah, whose grapes come from vineyards on decomposed granite soils. This terroir is the undisputed hero of this red, which offers freshness, perfume and length with a very elegant and very sober product.

Mullineux & Leeu is a young winery founded in 2007, but in a very short time it has established itself as one of South Africa's most recognised wine brands. Its plots are located in the Swartland region, with soils composed of granite and marl with excellent potential for the production of quality wines.

Mullineux Granite Syrah Tasting Notes

The well-defined nose presents blackberry, raspberry and hints of white pepper, all focused and becoming quite floral with time. The palate is medium-bodied with good grip on entry and quite compact. The tarry black fruit mingles with the sage and black pepper towards a rather severe finish.
