WBOO aims to make the most objective and reliable compilation of the results from the strictest international competitions, which follow internationally recognized methods and standards in the evaluation of the organoleptic properties of examined extra virgin olive oils. The extra virgin olive oil Rincón de la Subbética has achieved the first position in all categories of the WBOO 2020/21 ranking, the most prestigious in the world: Best Olive Oil in the World, Best Organic Olive Oil in the World, Best Olive Oil Mill in the World, and Best Organic Olive Oil Mill in the World. With 51 awards and recognitions in 2020 and over 250 in the last five years, Rincón de la Subbética, a sublime monovarietal hojiblanco made from organic production with PDO, sourced from a selection of hand-picked fruits from the best estates located within the Natural Park of the Subbéticas Mountains, once again tops the list of the world's best extra virgin olive oils with 173 points. In a distant second place (117 points) is Balcón del Guadalquivir, from S.C.A. San Felipe Apóstol de Baeza; completing the podium is another cooperative olive oil, Oro de Cánava, from Ntra. Sra. de los Remedios, S.C.A., with 113 points.
