This is a small family winery where all the production comes exclusively from their own vineyards. The majority of the plots were planted more than 100 years ago and are not mechanised, so the main tasks are still carried out by hand.
Tasting notes
Abadía Retuerta Selección Especial 2019 has an intense garnet colour. Notes of ripe red and black fruit (cherries, sour cherries, plums) to which are added balsamic and spicy aromas (liquorice) and those coming from sweet wood.
In the mouth, it shows a balanced and elegant structure, with soft and silky tannins that envelop the palate. Powerful, fruity, creamy and long on the palate. Full-bodied, with tannins of marked personality, very pleasant, which enhance its long finish, its persistence. A tasty wine, a safe bet. Its long and persistent finish leaves a sensation of satisfaction and elegance.
Hacieda Solano Viñas Viejas 2019 has a bright cherry red colour with violet edges, high and brilliant robe. Intense and complex on the nose with fresh fruit and elegant touches of oak. Good structure and balance with blackberry and toasted flavours. Ripe tannins with long persistence.
