The Parxet Winery is located in the Designation of Origin Ribera del Duero, in the village of Pesquera de Duero, and belongs, along with Bodegas Tionio (Ribera del Duero and Rueda), Marqués de Alella (Alella) and Bodegas Basagoiti (Rioja) to the Parxet group. Here the wine is made with the typical variety of the area: the Tinta Fina or Tinta del País.
With the philosophy of producing a single wine each vintage, and in a single delivery when the winemaker deems appropriate, this winery does not follow the policy of reserving the best vintages for later marketing. Therefore Tionio is the fruit of the best wine of each vintage, aged in new French Allier and fine American oak barrels, which may vary according to the vintage.
Only the oldest vines that have come to balance over the years and manage to give a very low production of excellent quality are candidates for the elaboration of their wine.
