Pelissero Barbaresco DOCG Vanotu is a red wine made with Nebbiolo in the DOCG Vanotu by the Pelissero family.

This wine comes from a selection of 6 small plots. The vineyards are spread between the villages of Treiso, Barbaresco and Neive, with East, South and West exposures, depending on the plot. They were planted between 1980 and 2004 and the altitude is 200-400 metres.

Thanks to the particular characteristics of soil, climate and exposure, the wines coming from this vineyard express, even in poor vintages, great character and personality.

Modern vinification methods are used to achieve the maximum exaltation of the varietal characteristics of Nebbiolo; ageing for 22 months in barrels and 9 months in bottle. The aim is concentration, fruit and a pleasant tannic complexity.

Pelissero maintains the same philosophy established by the founders in 1957: varieties such as Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto from their 42 hectares of vineyards. Their spirit of continuous improvement, passion and commitment are evident when enjoying each of their bottles in the best restaurants around the world.

Pelissero Barbaresco DOCG Vanotu Tasting Notes

Appearance: Intense ruby colour.

Nose: Expressive in fruit, redcurrant and cherry, well harmonised, with hints of vanilla from the wood. Together with these notes there is the typical rose aroma of the variety and hints of mint, thyme and camomile - reflections of the soil.

Palate: In the mouth it is a broad, velvety wine that fills the palate with pleasant, long-lasting sweet tannins. The great polyphenolic structure of the Nebbiolo and the balanced acidity guarantee the ageing potential of this wine.
