The Marqués de Riscal Rosé Wine from Bodegas Marqués de Riscal presents this rosé wine from the D.O.Ca. Rioja, made from the grape varieties 75% Tempranillo, 15% Viura, 5% Garnacha Blanca, and 5% Malvasía.

Marqués de Riscal began producing rosé wines in the 1960s, coinciding with the centenary of the winery, using grapes from young vines, less than 15 years old, of the Tempranillo and Garnacha varieties.

This rosé is made using the pressing method within a concept of classicism and refinement, achieving an unusual delicacy, freshness, and smoothness for this type of wine. It undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature between 14ºC and 16ºC to achieve great fruitiness.

It has a refreshing and easy-to-drink style. Additionally, it has an immediate appeal thanks to its natural juiciness, viscosity, and its fresh and clean profile.

Optimal serving temperature: Between 8 and 10ºC.

Bodegas Marqués de Riscal

The history of Bodegas Marqués de Riscal is the story of an innovative, pioneering, and influential company in a continuously transforming wine sector.

The winery was founded in 1858 by Guillermo Hurtado de Amézaga. In 1862, its first wines were bottled, becoming the oldest bottled wines from Rioja.

A few years after its foundation, the winery quickly began to win numerous awards, but one of the most important came in 1895 when Marqués de Riscal became the first non-French wine to receive the Diploma of Honor at the Bordeaux Exhibition.

In 1972, Marqués de Riscal began producing the first white wines from Rueda, and in recent years, the winery has ventured into incorporating two new denominations into the project, V.T. Castilla y León and D.O. Getariako Txakolina.

For those who want to explore the history of the winery from its foundation to the present day with the opportunity to enjoy Marqués de Riscal wines, in 2006, The City of Wine was inaugurated, which now includes a hotel designed by the famous Canadian architect Frank O. Gehry.
