Prunotto Moscato d'Asti 2021

Prunotto Moscato d'Asti is a white wine made from Moscato in the Moscato d'Asti DOCG (Piedmont) by Prunotto.

The hand-picked grapes were gently crushed before pressing. The must was left in the press for a short period for the extraction of aromas. The flor wine was transferred to stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation took place until the wine reached 5% alcohol content and then fermentation was stopped by a strong temperature reduction. The wine was clarified, filtered and then bottled.

The aromatic Moscato (Muscat Blanc) grape has been part of Piedmont's winemaking traditions for generations. It produces a wine with intense aromas characteristic of this grape variety, sweet fruity nuances coming from the natural residual sugar. Its low alcohol content makes it an extremely pleasant, versatile wine.

Tasting Notes for Prunotto Moscato d'Asti

Moscato d'Asti Prunotto has an intense straw yellow colour.

The nose offers aromas characteristic of the Moscato Bianco grape along with notes of acacia honey and hawthorn blossom.

The palate is full, vigorous and elegant with a harmonious, fresh and pleasant finish.
