Red rice is a type of rice cultivated in the volcanic soil of the Tasikmalaya region in Indonesia, it is so called because it contains the bran that surrounds it and is of that color. Being a brown rice it is rich in fiber and has a satiating effect, it also contains vitamin B6, iron, magnesium and zinc.
