The Vino Tinto Txakoli Itsasmendi Eklipse from Bodega Itsasmendi presents this red wine from the D.O. Bizkaiko Txakolina (Vizcaya, Basque Country), created from the varieties of 65% Pinot Noir and 35% Hondarrabi Beltza.
Itsasmendi Eklipse is obtained from a selection of grapes from two plots of land located very close to the sea, within what is known as the Cantabrian oak forest. This area is characterized by clay-loam soils of limestone origin and a microclimate with lower rainfall than the other plots in the province.
Elaboration: The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and then aged for 10 months in French oak barrels and vats of 2000 liters, providing structure and complexity to this Txakoli.
