SCAROLA

It is grown in temperate or cold climates, belongs to the same family as lettuce, endive and cabbage and stands out for its bitter taste, like endive. The curly variety is consumed in Spain and is grown in Catalonia, Valencia and Murcia

It contains fiber, lots of water and is low in calories and carbohydrates, so it is recommended in weight loss diets. It is also rich in vitamins A, C, B1 and B2 and minerals such as potassium, calcium, phosphorus, sodium and iron.
