More information

Tokaji Disznoko 1413 Édes Szamorodni is a single varietal sweet white wine made from furmint by the Disznóko winery in the Tokaj-Hegyalja region of Hungary.Despite the longevity of the Tokajs, 1413 is not a vintage, but the historical date of the first written mention of the Disznókő vineyard, which adorns the traditional Tokaji wine label. The family name Szamorodnia is of Polish origin. The whole bunches determine the style and sweetness by themselves, depending on how many bunches of sultanas there are. The wine is then refined in the barrel.

Tasting notes of Disznoko 1413 Édes Szamorodni

This is a delicious wine, in some respects comparable to an Aszú, with flavours of honey, candied orange, sweet spices and racy acidity, but it is also considerably lighter and less concentrated. Like Late Harvest, it is extremely supple at the table.
