More information

Disznókö Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos comes from a refreshing vintage with a lively acidity. For its production, the Disznókö winery practices a meticulous harvest in the vineyards that are walked two to four times a day to harvest the noble grapes at their optimum point, This process is quite slow but guarantees the quality of the grapes selected to make the wines of the Disznókö winery. The resulting wine is aged for a minimum of 24 months in barrels.

A puttonyois a kind of basket in which the berries with botrytis were harvested and which has a capacity of approximately 25 kg. The Tokaj winemaking tradition has preserved this word to specify the amount of noble berries used in winemaking. The grapes affected by botrytis cinereaare also known asaszú and can range in quantity from 3 to 6 puttonyos, specifications which also indicate the amount of sugar present in the wines: the more puttonyos, the greater the sweetness.
