The Red Wine Veramonte Pinot Noir Organic of Bodegas Veramonte, presents this red wine from the Denomination of Origin Casablanca Valley (Chile), created from 100% Pinot Noir grape varieties.
A wine born at the foot of the native forest in our vineyard in Casablanca, 30 kilometers east of the Pacific Ocean. The cool morning fog, coupled with the particular characteristics of the soils, are the starting point for an elegant and smooth wine, with notes of raspberry and cherry, and with a perfect balance between acidity and tannins.
The grapes are harvested overnight and carefully destemmed to ensure that cold maceration is carried out only with the berries. The grapes are then fermented in open tanks with native yeasts, preserving the natural aromas and flavors of the vineyards.
In terms of quality, the 2015 vintage was very good due to the low yields and dry conditions of the spring and summer season, accompanied by an extended day-to-night thermal amplitude. The slow ripening of the grapes allowed them to maintain their freshness, integrity of aromas and elegant acidity.
