viñademoya Leiros Red Wine'

This wine belongs to the D.O. BierzoThe grape variety used is 100% Mencía.its vineyard comes from small and centenary plots called Leiros. They are located on slopes with a 25% gradient. The altitude of the plots is 700 meters.this vineyard is one of the largest areas of pre-phylloxera vines in Bierzo.the soil of the plot is steep, calcareous and shallow formed by a layer of sub-rich in minerals.the elaboration begins with the harvest by hand. Traditionally, Leiros were harvested only by family members. Today, the tradition is still maintained. This wine ages for 24 months in French oak barrels.

Viñademoya Leiros Red Wine Tasting Notes:Nose: Aroma of black fruits, sweet, mineral hints of slate and toasted notes such as vanilla and chocolate. Palate: Full-bodied, round and excellent balance.
