The White Wine Vivanco is made with the grape varieties Viura, Tempranillo Blanco and Maturana, belonging to the D.O. La Rioja, is the first wine coupage of La Rioja, unique and expressive. The three varieties come from different vineyards with different terroirs of La Rioja; Viura own Briones, Rioja Alta with a strong Atlantic influence and Tempranillo and Maturana: own Tudelilla of Eastern Rioja, located at 700 meters altitude.
Each variety is harvested by hand in small boxes and separately, the grapes remain in cold storage for 36 hours before processing in selection table. The white Tempranillo is harvested first and the other two varieties a few days later. Each variety is prepared separately for the winemaking process. After a short cold maceration, the tear must is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, thus preserving the varietal expression. The wines that are obtained, remain in contact with their lees in tank for 4 months, preserving aromas with harmony.
The Vivanco winery is located in Briones, in the foothills of the Sierra de Cantabria and on the banks of the Ebro River, with the innovation of having a subway cellar that is functional and aesthetic. The building is constructed in this way in order to minimize the environmental impact in favor of the conservation of the landscape. This bottle is inspired in shape to an original one from the 18th century, with a label that expresses complexity and personality.
